In January 2012, our certified operator Sap and Kaps Petroleum Services (SKPS) successfully applied and certified the first Quickflange installation offshore for the ADNOC Group of companies.

Trial Installation

This was a trial installation for ZADCO, and consisted of two installations on the Discharge Line of the Fire Water Jockey Pump at the accommodation platform (ACPT-1) on the Upper Zakum field, Abu Dhabi, one of the world’s largest oil fields.

Reduced Work Scope

The ZADCO OSES-MCE Team initiated the trial installation. The team believes that the use of the Quickflange technology will considerably reduce the future work scope and duration in connecting flanges to utility piping systems in a live environment.

Reduced Shutdowns for Future Repairs

The trial installation was supervised by the offshore maintenance supervisor at Upper Zakum, ACPT. The technology proved to the attendees that the Quickflange technology is a very quick and clean way of connecting flanges to pipes without hot work. They further recognized how the Quickflange could be used to reduce shutdown time for future repairs and tie-in jobs.
