In 2011 the exploration and production company, Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) based in the Netherlands used the Quickflange solution for the tie-in of a new open drain pipework to an existing pipe.

Both the Quickflange equipment and manpower were mobilised from Quickflange’s Aberdeen base. The technician arrived on the platform L2FA1 platform at 09:30 am and by 15:30 they had installed the flange.  The material used was carbon steel A350LF2 and Quickflange sizes were 4 inch S40 150# RF.  The result for NAM was an immediate solution to a platform infrastructure issue.
