Quickflange opens in Brazil and the Middle East
Two of the main initiatives for the expansion of the Quickflange business
are establishment of direct to market operations in Brazil and the Middle
East. Each has required significant investment in time, personnel, tools
and accommodation, but now we are now ready to do business!
In the Middle East we are on the verge of starting our first job - a shutdown project in Qatar. It is
anticipated that we will install approximately 20 flanges on various piping systems. Recent meetings
with Zadco, BP, Dubai Petroleum and Dubai Gas have all been extremely positive.
Setting-up in Brazil for any foreign company is a time-consuming process. However, we now have
established our office and have been getting increasingly enthusiastic reception for the Quickflange
solution from Petrobras and its contractors. As with any customer, “to try it, is to love it!” and it is
clear that there is great potential in Brazil foe such effective new technology.
Tor Arne Hauge and Phil Cross would like to thank
everyone for their support in setting-up these bases. As we
move into the phase of actually supporting the jobs we win,
the burden of work moves to one of support of the
customer in ensuring high standards are maintained. This is
something that Quickflange is known for, and something we
are very determined to maintain, wherever we are in the
world.
